I’ve been so engrossed in this book. It was like a friend recounting a two year period in her life.

The reader starts with the main character who is naive and absolutely dependent on her mom and on the good opinion of her community. The reader then watches her almost become villainous (through her comformity) on her path to discovering the kind of woman she can be inspite of (perhaps because of) her mother, the opinions of her community, and the responsibilities of motherhood.

I ended this book wondering what the author did with the remaining pages 😅 I want more!
